Available for Adoption: Parka
This is Parka. She’s a 7-month-old Mastiff Retriever mix who was surrendered to the HBSPCA along with 3 of her littermates after their owner was unable to find them homes. Parka is a silly, affectionate girl who has a lot to learn. After all, she’s just a pup.
Parka is not housebroken and will need obedience training but she’s smart and eager to learn. She has already learned about leash walking since being at the shelter. Parka loves to chew chew chew on just about anything, so will need supervision and crate-training as she grows. Ideally, she’d love to find a household with children over 7 (or no children).
Puppies are a lot of work in the beginning. They’re also so much fun, too. If you have the time to give to help Parka become her best self and your obedient best friend, Parka is keen to learn and would love a chance to give all of her love.
Apply to adopt Parka or one of our other adoptable dogs.
We’ve partnered with K9 Principles to offer dog training at the HBSCPA and support responsible pet ownership. Kelly, from K9, has more than 25 years of training experience and, in our opinion, some of the best techniques for positive reinforcement. She has counselled many dog owners through behavioural and aggression problems to become well-trained pets.
Parka’s new furever family will have access to classes. And you and your dog(s) can, too. Check out our obedience class schedule
