Leggat Mazda, Kennel Guardian Sponsor
Loving animals, contributing to the community
An auto dealer in the community is proud to support the HBSPCA, not only as a worthwhile organization in the community, but also because they are animal lovers!
As a Kennel Guardianship participant, Leggat Mazda of Hamilton supports the animals that the HBSPCA rescues. By becoming a guardian of a kennel for one year, they are ensuring that each animal that is surrendered at the HBSPCA facility receives the necessary care and support they require and deserve.
Scott Leggat, General Manager, says as good corporate citizens, Leggat Mazda Hamilton supports worthwhile charitable organizations in the areas they serve. The HBSPCA came up as a perfect fit.
Leggat Mazda Hamilton is the destination for a Mazda vehicle or services such as repairs, maintenance, and parts and accessories. Beyond Mazda products and services, they also offer dedicated customer service that will surpass all expectations.
The Leggat Auto group is more than a century old. In the years since its inception, Leggat continues to be a recognizable name in Southern Ontario thanks to three consecutive generations of the Leggat family operating the group. Today, dealerships bearing the Leggat name can be found throughout Ontario in cities such as Burlington, Etobicoke and Ancaster, selling top-quality vehicles including Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Cadillac, and Acura.
“Our families all love animals and have always had animals,” says Scott. “Our mom volunteered at the Royal Botanical Gardens and I remember always going on nature walks as a kid.” he said.
“We were so concerned to hear that, during Covid, people adopted animals that they couldn’t keep and then dropped them off at the shelter. We want to help you help those animals,” he said.
Scott’s family has two dachshunds right now and their family has always had multiple cats and dogs.
“We’re just delighted to support this wonderful program that will provide medicines and support for the animals in the care of the HBSPCA,” he said.
